SiRT – Broken Collarbone leads to investigation
Early on Friday, August 26, 2016, members of the Pictou RCMP responded to a complaint of a fight between two males in Pictou Landing, Nova Scotia. As a result of the altercation, a 22-year-old male was stabbed by a 32-year-old male, suffering non-life threatening injuries.
When police arrived and attempted to arrest the 32-year-old male, a struggle occurred. After the male was subdued and taken into custody, he complained of an injury to his shoulder. He was later taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured collarbone. He was treated and released back to the RCMP.
As a result of the serious injury, SiRT was contacted shortly after 3 p.m. on August 26 by the RCMP. At that time SiRT assumed responsibility for the investigation into the injury suffered by the 32-year-old male.
Anyone who may have witnessed that arrest of the male is asked to contact SiRT toll-free at 1-855-450-2010.
